Beginning on July 1, 2018 we have a new pastor, Rev. Harsha Kotian.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I am glad to introduce myself to my fellow believers in Jesus Christ at Immanuel UMC in Ripon.
I was born and raised in India (Udupi and Mangalore). I was called to ministry at an early age, right after high school.
My Seminary Education was in India (Mangalore and Bangalore), and higher theological studies in the U.S. (Princeton and Chicago).
I had 20 years of pastoral ministry in India and 14 years in the U.S. including 4 years of part-time in Chicago and the rest in the Wisconsin Conference, all cross-cultural appointments.
Mavis Nayana, my wife, is a homemaker who takes care of all my needs at home and is my strong spiritual support.
Joylin Sampath, our only son, studied computers at Milwaukee School of Engineering and presently is working in Cleveland, Ohio at Progressive Insurance.
I love reading books, listening to praise songs and encouraging others spiritually. My passion is to help people know God’s love in Jesus!
I desire to work with the church to discern new ways of doing ministry among people, especially with young families.
“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but rather a spirit of power, and of love, and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
